Little things are beautiful

Truly, little things in life are beautiful - a lesson that most of us take for granted. Not that I admire everything I see, however in lonely moments as I stare out of my window to see little children playing the sight brings smiles in my face. Then my eyes falls on a bird and I become standstill, my mind goes stoic and eyes cease to blink. My mind gets frozen and I persist to stare till the birds flies off. It brings mystic joy to my heart. I guess it may have happened many times with you too. Unknowingly, as you get lost in a sea of thoughts your eyes focuses on something for a very very long time. The funny thing is that you don't even realize this!

One afternoon I felt very restless in office and decided to walk on the banks of Hudson River. I kept walking and admired people who idly kept watching the river. A few were smoking and those people seemed to have all the time in the world. A lady with her husband ( probably ) and her adorable dogs peacefully strolled along the river. I didn't like the man accompanying her though. I got strange satisfaction in admiring the scenic environ. An old man smiled at me as though the gentleman knew me for ages. I didn't have to struggle to smile at him; it came from within. One interesting thing happened - an airplane high above went right went cutting across the face of our dear Sun and casted its long shadow on the high rise buildings nearby. Perhaps it lasted for a fraction of a second. My eyes captured it and there was a big smile on my face. I have seen planes casting its shadow many times but that day the act blossomed a smile on my face and rejuvenated my child-like spirit.
